Rules

All contestants must meet ALL ATF rules and regulations to own and posses a firearm. The Gunsmiths will only be their to teach and give advise to the contestants, they will not do the work for them. Each contestant will be responsible to make their own fixtures and special tooling for their build under the gunsmiths supervision.  The Gunsmith T.V. Show will furnish all equipment, and materials for the build. They will  build the rifle using a commercial action as the foundation. Contestant must drill and tap for scope bases if necessary. Extra points for building their own mounts. Barrels will be contoured, threaded, chambered, and crowned by the contestant, muzzle breaks are allowed Stocks may be semi inlet but the contestant must finish the inletting, sanding, and  install butt pad.  Pillars, sling mounts, rails may be added for extra points. Triggers must pass a drop test.
