Season One for The Gunsmiths introduces three gun enthusiasts to the rewarding and sometimes frustrating experience of building a custom rifle. The three are partnered up with three professional custom gunsmiths to build their dream rifles and win a grand prize selected just for them.  At the end of eight weeks the rifles will be judged on accuracy, function, and looks at the end of the eighth show the T.V. viewers will vote for their favorite and that score will be added to the judges scores to determine the winner, which will be announced on the final episode.
