Episode One

We learn about each of the contestants lives and why they want to build their own rifle.

The three professional gunsmiths are introduced and we learn a little about them as well as a short tour of their shops and their work.

The three contestants are introduced to the gunsmiths and they discuss what they think they need and want in their new guns.

Calibers, Actions, Barrels, Triggers, and stocks are discussed, and a parts list is put together and parts are ordered.

While they are waiting for their parts they start learning about the equipment and tooling they will be using on the build.

An introduction of the shop equipment needed to build a truly custom rifle is gone over with special attention on the milling machine and lathe as well as a large number of hand tools.

The professional gunsmiths answer questions sent in from viewers.

A list of fixtures is given to the contestants and they are turned over to the host as they learn to operate the Milling Machine and Lathe.

* Off set segments where the show visits manufactures or suppliers are only suggested and may change.

( The video includes an extra hour of tips on what to look for in actions, barrels, triggers, and stocks as well as the types of machines, tooling, and hand tools you would need to build a custom rifle )
